National Federation of the Blind - Cleveland Chapter

August 28, 2021 Minutes:

August 2021 Chapter monthly meeting was held at Big Creek Park at 2:30pm.
COVID-19 safety protocols were adhered to.

Prayer:

Joann Williams did an opening prayer.

Welcome:

Suzanne Turner, President, welcomed and thanked all members, attendees from
other chapters and Divisions, all guests/visitors. 

Roll Call:

Suzanne Turner, President, welcomed everyone again and made sure about the
attendance of the chapter's members, guests and visitors. The attendees are:
the Ohio Affiliate president, Richard Payne, Suzanne Turner, Natassha,
Theresa, Robert, Danielle Turner, Cheryl, Owen, Nettie, Linda and Guion
Bufford, Shawana, Shirley, Billie, Jackie, Cecil, Wilbert, Delcenia, Tyrone,
Ivory, Joanne, Frankie, Wayne, Denise. Please note that Jackie Gwin was a
member years ago and rejoined Saturday, August 28, 2021. Welcome back
Jackie!!!

Apologies: Ali Benmerzouga and William Turner.

A Motion:

Suzanne Turner, President, put a motion on the floor to postpone chapter
business until the next meeting. Motion seconded by Wilbert Turner. The
motion passed unanimously!

Blessing the Food:

Wilbert Turner blessed food.

Food consisted of hot dogs, sub sandwiches, pasta salad, potato salad,
macaroni salad, cookies, brownies, chips, pastries, water, and pop.

Wayne kindly grilled hot dogs.

The 50/50 Raffle Split the pot:

Teresa collected $49.00 for 50/50 raffle/split the pot. Wilbert Turner won
$24.50 and $24.50 went into the chapter's treasury.

Treasurer:

Natassha Ricks, Treasurer, collected dues and donations. Additionally, she
kindly accepted and took care of the recording Secretary business during his
absence.

Meeting/gathering adjourned at 6:3 P.M.
