Question are the RTA buses going to be rerouted that day and if we take para transit where is a good place to drop off and be picked up??

Please join me to support this effort. We will meet together on Saturday. Please be at 50 Public Square at 9:15 AM. EDT. We will leave around 1:00 to 1:30 PM to beat the crowd leaving from the festivities.

March for Access will take place from 9 am – 2 pm on Saturday, September 10, 2022 (rain or shine event) 

 

This is a FREE event, but we do ask that people CHECK-IN at the ADA Cle Info Tent (open at 9 am)

MOST IMPORTANTLY – we need you to promote this event and work diligently to get people out to Public Square! Please share within your organization and externally. 


March for Access Timeline

11:00am – Rally and Speakers
   
   
   - Speakers focus is on advocacy topics

11:30am – March for Access

12:00 – 2pm – Activity & Advocacy Stations: 
   
   
   - Transportation
   - Housing
   - Voting

 

Media and Social Media
   
   - Feel free to use the attached press release to promote the event and get the word out to your media contacts and all constituencies. 
   - ADA Cleveland will have a presence on Facebook and Instagram
   - Please share news about the March for Access and use hashtags: #March4Access, #ADAinCLE, #ADACleveland, #DisabilityPrideCLE

 

ADA Cleveland Tent / Check-in
   
   - We will have 1 blue tent positioned close the center of Public Square, on the south side of Superior for check in and ADA Cleveland agency resources
   - Resource Tent - ADA Cleveland Member Organizations can bring their own promotional materials / info, provided their agency has a presence at the event
   - Pick up your bottle of cold water, bag and ADA Cleveland March for Access shirt (while supplies last)
   - Make your mark with a March sign! Posters and sign-making supplies provided

 

Volunteers

We need each ADA Cleveland organization to make this event a priority and to commit staff support. We are asking that 4-5 staff per organization can commit to helping out!

Parking

PARKING: Parking is available at the County Board of Developmental Disabilities, 1275 Lakeside Ave E, Cleveland. Youth Challenge will provide FREE & ACCESSIBLE shuttle service to/from Public Square from 9am – 2pm. Shuttle available for volunteers at 7am / 715am from 1275 Lakeside Ave (this is for those volunteers who are needed early for set-up).  

Nearby 24-hour Parking Garages:
   
   - 200 Public Square Garage, located at 320 Superior, Cleveland
   - 55 Public Square Garage
   - Tower City Parking, 1537 W. 6, Cleveland

For those utilizing PARATRANSIT, the following addresses will get you closest to the action: Address: 50 Public Square, Cleveland, Ohio

 

Accessibility 
   
   - An ASL interpreter from the County Board will be available to individuals as needed
   - The RALLY / SPEECHES will be ASL interpreted
   - CART service is provided and will be open captioned on two large monitors (on stage) and we will also have QR code available for captions on mobile devices
   - Reserved seating available close to stage and monitor
   - ADA restrooms located at the NW quadrant Public Square, near the stage
   - Sunscreen and general first aid will be available
   - Wheelchair charging station near the stage
   - Assistance available as needed for March route

 

March Routes: 

>From Public Square: R on Rockwell. R on E. 6. R on Superior.

Food truck will be available on Rockwell Avenue, northern border of Public Square (Barrio)
