Good Morning Cleveland Members and Friends

 

What a glorious morning it is.

 

I am filled with love, hope and determination today. It is clear, cold and
nice out. Take a walk if you can.

 

Members, our annual monthly meeting is this coming Friday, March 17, 2023 at
the Buffelo Wild Wings, 12459 Cedar Rd. and on the zoom platform. Please
take notice of the times for the meeting.

1: Those who wish to grab dinner at the restaurant, be there at 5:00.

2: Order your food on your arrival. Do not wait for others.

3: The meeting will start at 7:00 and end at 8:15 PM. You can continue
eating while the meeting is in order.

4: The zoom room will open at 7:00 PM

5: Have your transportation pick you up at 8:15 PM

 

The Piggest Raffle Ever

Cleveland, if you have not purchased your Piggy tickets. I will have paper
tickets at the meeting. Please consider taking two to sale to your family
members and friends. Or, you can just buy two. If you win first prize, $5
thousand will go to you and 5 thousand to the affiliate. If you win second
prize, $25 hundred will go to you and 25 hundred will be awarded to the
affiliate. Third prize wins a vacation in Cincinnati. Tickets are $5 each
with all proceeds going to the affiliate. This is a great fundraiser to give
back to the affiliate for so much of what they have given to Cleveland
members in scholarships. Let rise the treasury.

Convention in Houston Texas

The National Convention is fast approaching. If you are intending to attend
the largest gathering for the blind. Please make your hotel reservation. The
price is $119.00 per night. There are two hotels for your convenience. If
you are a first-timer, apply for the Kenneth Jernigan Scholarship Fund. You
do not have to be blind to attend. Sighted members can apply as well. Call:
800-236-2905 and make your reservations. Also, there are non-stop fights to
Houston from Cleveland as low as $250.00 round trip.

 

Fundraisers:

Great news, the Tastefully Simple fundraiser is complete. Thank you to
everyone who participated and those who shared the info. Now, we are moving
on to the raffel fundraiser. Everyone is responsible for ten tickets and
will get them on Friday.

 

Sharing Solution

Just a reminder that on Sunday, March 19, 2023, Sharing Solutions will be
held at 7:00 PM on zoom. The topic is "Retirement Living. You do not want to
miss this topic.

 

All Aboard! Cleveland is sponsoring a bus to the Ohio Convention, which will
be held on November 17th, 18th and 19th. However, the bus will leave on
November 16th, which is a Thursday. Location is to be determined. The
tennative price is $70.00 round trip.

 

Cleveland Picnic

The Recreational Committee, Tomeika Hurt, Theresa McKenney and Shirley
Patterson has secured our picnic location. The date is Saturday, August 12,
2023 at 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Lakewood Park is located at 14532 Lake Avenue,
Lakewood, Ohio 44107. We will discuss food options at the meeting.
