Cleveland Members,

I am contacting you to inquire who will be walking in the event on Saturday.
If you are walking, please email me.

This event is a worthy cause and will be used as a community event for our
Chapter.

I can register you or send your name to Renee:

Here are the details.

We're so excited for the 15th Annual Cleveland VisionWalk on Saturday and
can't wait to see you there! If you haven't registered yet, it's not too
late to join us - just click here to register. Below you will find some
important walk day information.

Location, Directions & Parking
VisionWalk is at the Cleveland Metroparks Edgewater Park Upper Edgewater
Area (West Entrance to park) sometimes referred to as West Edgewater. We are
NOT near the beach. Click here for directions. When you arrive, you'll see
our blue and white balloons and tents (you can't miss it!). There is plenty
of free parking available and multiple parking lots along Upper Edgewater
Drive/Cliff Drive.

What to Bring
Please bring any donations you have collected and turn them in at the
registration tent. Bring some cash if you would like to win a signed
Cleveland Cavaliers jersey in our sweepstakes! All dogs are welcome to join
us, just be sure to keep them on a leash and clean up after them.

Registration Procedures
Register for the walk online in advance, then stop by the registration tent
on Walk Day and check-in. VisionWalk is a completely FREE event! We do not
require an entrance fee but if you'd like to be part of the cure, you can
make a donation by cash, credit card, or checks made payable to "Foundation
Fighting Blindness".

Walk Day Schedule
9:00am: Registration opens: Check-in and turn in any donations you have
collected. If you raised $100 or more you get a FREE VISIONWALK T-SHIRT!
You'll receive a ticket to present at the t-shirt tent to pick it up.
9:00am-10:15am: Have breakfast, enjoy music & kids activities, gather your
team for a photo, visit our resource area, and socialize with other
VisionWalk participants.
10:15am: Opening ceremonies begin.
10:30am: Walk begins.
11:15am: Return from the walk and enjoy a snack.

Inclement Weather Policy
VisionWalk will take place RAIN or SHINE and will not be cancelled if it's
raining. But if the weather produces dangerous conditions (lightning,
storms, etc.) we will cancel it and announce it on our website here. Your
safety is our top priority.

Walk Route
Our walk route will take us down the hill to the beach area and is about
1.75 miles long. The route is well-marked with directional arrows. We also
have a shortened walk route available that does not go down the hill and is
less than a mile long.

Although we would love to have you walk with us, it's completely optional.
You are more than welcome to stay at the walk-site and we will see you when
we return!

Team Spirit
Many teams like to create Team T-shirts to easily find each other at our
walk-site. We will have a team t-shirt contest, so get creative! You can
also have a big team banner decorated with your team's name on it so you can
walk loud and proud letting everyone know who you are!

Questions?
Feel free to reach out if you have any questions. Thank you for all you do
to advance our mission! See you Saturday at the 15th Annual Cleveland
VisionWalk!

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the
characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the
expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want;
blindness is not what holds you back.
