Thanks for your interest in inclusive and adaptive programs with Cleveland Metroparks Outdoor Recreation! We are excited to share about our upcoming adaptive programs and new equipment at our upcoming Adaptive Outdoor Recreation Open House <https://www.clevelandmetroparks.com/parks/calendar/2024/or/adaptive/adaptive-outdoor-recreation-open-house>  this Thursday on 10/3 from 7 – 8 p.m. at CanalWay Center <https://www.clevelandmetroparks.com/parks/visit/parks/ohio-erie-canal-reservation/canalway-center> . We will be holding a Sensory-Friendly Adaptive Recreation Open House <https://www.clevelandmetroparks.com/parks/calendar/2024/or/adaptive/sensory-friendly-adaptive-outdoor-recreation-open->  as well from 6 – 7 p.m. Feel free to stay for the whole time or a few minutes. We will be featuring our new, all-terrain hiking chairs including the Action Trackchair <https://actiontrackchair.com/>  and Grit Freedom Chair <https://www.gogrit.us/grit-freedom-chair-spartan/> . We will also have a Freedom Concepts Handcycle <https://freedomconcepts.com/our-products/handcycles/defier/>  to try and Creating Abilities Kayaking equipment <https://www.creatingability.com/#:~:text=One%20of%20our%20favorites%20is%20that%20disability%20can%20be%20made>  to explore and learn about.

 

The Open House is a good opportunity to talk to staff as well about upcoming programs and get your questions answered as well as share feedback of what your needs are and how we can improve the park experience for people with disabilities.
