[NFBOH-Cleveland] Cleveland September Updates

Good Morning, Cleveland and Friends,

 

I hope you are enjoying the cool weather. I love Fall and welcome the night
air.

 

As many of you are aware, we have lost a diamond. Henry Butler passed away
last week. He will be missed. However, I know we are grateful to have had
time with him.

 

On September 14, 2024 at 2:30 to 4:30 PM, we will hold our summer outing at
the Nottingham Library. The Board will provide the main meal. We are asking
all members to bring a dish or dessert. I will reach out to you soon to mark
your food item on the list. Moreover, at the meeting, there will be prizes
and games to boot.

 

Action Item:

It is time to preregister for the most happening event in Ohio. The NFB of
Ohio Convention is where you want to be in November. Rows and rows of
technology and gadgets will be available for you to learn and try out. There
also will be great seminars to assist you in living well and productive. The
banquet and after party are always the best feature of that weekend. You can
go to:

NFBOHIO.ORG/Convention to preregister. It is $25 and the banquet is $55. If
you need assistance, please reach out to me or a member of the chapter. We
also will organize a basket for the auction.

. Rooms are $105 per night with breakfast for two.

 

The Ohio Board of Director's meeting will be on September 21, 24. I have not
heard from many of you about attending. I need to know how many are willing
to travel to Cincinnati. Please do not wait until the week of the meeting.
The deadline is September 8, 2024 to alert me.

 

Blind Equality Achievement Month and White Cane Safety Day are in October.
We will organize an event in the community. Please have an idea to present
at the September meeting.

 

I am looking forward to seeing you all in September.
