Ensure that all Blind Americans are able to Access the Digital World


The National Federation of the Blind, the transformative membership and
advocacy organization of blind Americans, urges the Department of Justice to
rescind an interim final rule that delays the implementation of Americans
with Disabilities Act Title II website regulations. 

Since an advance notice of proposed rulemaking on Title II website
regulations was published in 2010, blind Americans have been anticipating
clear digital accessibility rules. After fourteen years, that final rule was
published in 2024. However, in April of 2026 when the rule was supposed to
take effect, the Department of Justice instead delayed the implementation of
the rule by one year through the publication of an interim final rule. 

Help us let the Department of Justice know how disappointed we are with this
delay!
