We celebrated Louis Braille Birthday, Black History Month and Women History Month from January through March 2019. Now for the month of April, we will celebrate guide dogs in the National Federation of the Blind. April 10<sup>th</sup> is Hug Your Dog Day, April 11<sup>th</sup> is National Pet Day and most importantly; April 25<sup>th</sup> is International Guide Dog Day. Therefore, we will begin by celebrating with featured stories from our Local and State guide dog trail blazers. Yes, our four-legged friends are Federationist too!!<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoPlainText align=center style='text-align:center'><span style='font-size:14.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal align=center style='text-align:center'><span style='font-size:14.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif'>As we winddown from acknowledging influential women in the National Federation of the Blind by celebrating Women History Month in March. I hope their impact has enlightened and inspired you. Each week, you will come familiar with their work. Some you will know, but others you may not. Hopefully, you will have an opportunity to meet or pet them in the future.
