In attendance were several community resources, such as the Department of Aging, the Western Regional Transit Authority, Ohio Library for the Blind and Physically Disabled, Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities and Magnifiers and More. Although, the attendance was small, the atmosphere of the event was elevated by the enthusiasm of those present. Ohio made connections with those networks that will benefit blind individuals from Youngstown Ohio.

The Ohio membership Committee will return to Youngstown at a later date to improve upon its efforts of reaching more blind Ohioans in hoping to form a chapter. Until then, the Cleveland Chapter is honored to have Dorothea and Destany as a member that will aide them to become powerful leaders when the Chapter is formed. For those blind Youngstown individuals who attended, we are optimistic that they will consider joining our organization. The Ohio membership Committee will keep NFB Ohio updated as we reach out inviting them to become a member.

Finally, if there is an opportunity that the Ohio Membership Committee could be a benefit to your Chapter, please reach out to Dr. Carolyn Peters or myself.
