She was the President of the Cleveland Chapter at one time. Annette passed away and she will be missed tremendously. The Ohio Senior Division will hold a celebration on her life at the Convention during our division meeting. <o:p></o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal">It is time for Cleveland to rock once again. You know how we do. We are trail blazers and advocate for those who look like us. The VI Teachers Mariann and Debbie along with other volunteers really provided wonderful educational programs for the children. Trainings included, everyday living skills, mobility, STEM, technology training, music and various field trips. Our own Affiliate President, Richard Payne filled in where ever was needed, including helping me in the kitchen with preparing meals, serving and cleaning duties. After all he ran a full cafeteria for years. I shocked myself and once again serviced outside of my comfort zone. Nevertheless, I enjoyed it. However, next year, we need more volunteers to ensure that members are not burned out and incapable of handling their respective duties. Even if you can not stay for the entire week, we need you.
