I must say that the weather was pretty nice and seeing old friends and making new ones was even nicer.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt"><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">I am hoping most of the Cleveland membership will be able to attend the 2026<sup>th</sup> National Convention, which will be held in Austin Texas. As usual, we must start preparing now for it.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt"><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">Cleveland, I have a few announcements.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt"><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">First, we will hold our August Chapter meeting in August at the Garfield Library. I will send out a reminder one week prior. The date is August 30<sup>th</sup>.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt"><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">Are you ready to celebrate the 35<sup>th</sup> anniversary of the ADA, as I am!<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt"><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">Here are a few activities:<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">1: Disability Pride Night, on July 16<sup>th starting at 4:00 PM. </sup>sponsored by Youth Challenge and Northeast Ohio Coalition of Disability Organizations. Several featured performances are the Dancing Wheels and the Community Sign Choir. And here are a few Vendors, the Feeling Good Ice Cream, The Twisted Jerk, Braised in the CLE and more.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt"><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">2: Disability Pride Party, on July 22, 2025 from 5/8PM. The location is the Forest City Brewery, 2135 Columbus Road, Cleveland, Ohio 44113. There will be prizes and swag for purchase. Dinner is available for purchase as well.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt"> <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">The Cleveland Chapter will celebrate the 35<sup>th</sup> birthday of the ADA in July and August. Our July event is being worked on, and details are fourth coming. However, in August, we will cycle around town in our NFB gear and white canes displaying Disability Pride. There will be two locations where we will stop to grab a bight to eat and have delicious ice cream at Mitchells. The fee for the cycle tour is $30 for a two-hour excursion. The bus will travel with 15 or 55 members. This is the trip of a lifetime. We will tour the Library of Congress, the NFB Jernigan Institute and the various monuments in DC. So, during the chapter meetings, I will sale Ohio M&M\u2019S and 12 types of Meat Sticks. These are to support the treasury of the Ohio Affiliate.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt"><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">It is time to pay dues if you are 50 and older to the Ohio Senior Division. The dues are $5 yearly. Also, if you are any age, you can purchase a $10 ticket to win $200.
