I hope everyone is getting excited for the National Federation of the Blind Virtual National Convention starting on Tuesday! If you missed rookie roundup or haven’t heard the news, this will officially be the largest national convention ever with 7,251 people registered to attend.

If you are attending convention, it is extremely important that you attend our Oklahoma Affiliate Caucus which will be held on Friday, July 17 and 10:00 A.M. The caucus is a chance for us to all gather together to discuss all the resolutions that will be presented to the membership for voting on Saturday, July 18. We will also be avle to cover other convention related matters that come up and answer any questions you may have. And most importantly, caucus is a time for all of us to spend time together as an affiliate for fellowship and getting to know one another. You can find the Zoom meeting information at the end of this email or in the calendar event attachment.

Other important convention related things you should be aware of:

1. If you haven't done so already, check out the virtual event platform, CrowdCompass, that is being used during convention.

What is the virtual event platform?
Available through CrowdCompass—either via the mobile app or the web—our virtual event platform lets you:
•    Customize your personal convention schedule 
•    Join Zoom meetings instantly 
•    Directly connect with sponsors and exhibitors 
•    Network with other attendees and send messages
•    Receive important updates and notifications
How do I access the virtual event platform?
Use the mobile app, the web, or both. When you initiate a login, you’ll receive a verification code via email. Create a profile to start networking and begin building your personal schedule. Please note that your profile should be marked visible in order to network with other attendees. 
Via the Mobile App
•    Download the mobile app called “CrowdCompass AttendeeHub” from the Apple App Store or Google Play
•    Open the app and enter “nfb2020”
•    Enter event password “nfb2020” and download the event
Via the Web 
•    Visit event.crowdcompass.com/nfb20 <http://event.crowdcompass.com/nfb20>  
•    Enter event password “nfb2020”
•    You’ll receive a verification code via email each time you initiate a login on the web 

2. If you are a NFB-Newsline subscriber, you have easy access to the  full agenda, the listing of sponsors and exhibitors, details on the NFB-NEWSLINE sessions, and the up-to-date postings of the 2020 NFB Resolutions. These resolutions will be available within three hours after the conclusion of the committee's work on Wednesday, July 15th. 
To access each of these publications on the phone, press 5 off the main menu. Then select option 5 for "National Meetings of Interest to the Print Disabled". From there you can select from the available list.
If using web news on-demand, after logging in, go to the main options menu and select "publications organized by state." Then, select "National Meetings of Interest to the Print-Disabled." From there you can select from the available list. 
For the NFB-NEWSLINE Mobile App/iOS users, select "all publications." Then, you can search for the available publications. They are: NFB 2020 Convention Agenda; NFB 2020 Convention Sponsors and Exhibitors; NFB-NEWSLINE 2020 Session offerings; or NFB 2020 Resolutions.
