Just a reminder that we're meeting on Wednesday, August 23rd to
celebrate the Route 66 Ride for Literacy campaign with Dan O'Rourke.

Follow the journey of the summer. Share the love of Braille. Connect with a
community. In partnership with the National Federation of the Blind,
Dan O'Rourke is
traveling more than 2,700 miles on a bike across the country from Santa
Monica, California to Chicago, Illinois along the famous Route 66. As a
National Hockey League (NHL) referee, Dan is used to skating on thin ice,
making tough calls, and taking a few hits along the way. As the child of a
blind parent, Dan also knows how important it is for you to know that as a
blind person or a family member of a blind person, you are not alone.

kicked off with NFB of California members at the Santa Monica Pier and
Public Library.

 	* Day 3: July 29, Barstow, CA to Amboy, CA, 80 miles
 	* Day 4: July 30, Day Off in Amboy, CA
 	* Day 5: July 31, Amboy, CA to Needles, CA, 82 miles
 	* Day 6: August 1, Needles, CA to Kingman, AZ, 62 miles
 	* Day 7: August 2, Kingman, AZ to Seligman, AZ, 72 miles
 	* Day 8: August 3, Seligman, AZ to Flagstaff, AZ 76 miles
 	* Day 9: August 4, Day off in Flagstaff, AZ - celebrated with the NFB of
Arizona members at Bushmaster Park.
