National Federation of the Blind of Pennsylvania - Greater Berks Chapter Meeting

1. Roll Call: 4 members in attendance

Officers: John Kaufman, Vice President       Linda Mackey, Secretary

Absent: Rosemary Freedman, President, Brian Mackey, Treasurer

 

Board Member: Judy Vaskorlis

2. Vice President John Kaufman called the meeting to order at 10:04 am.

 

3. Secretary’s Report: Linda Mackey

Social – We will have lunch on Sept. 15th at Azteca – 955 Woodland Road, Wyomissing     610-898-1512

Paid members are free up to $25 (no alcohol).

John remarked about the lack of member participation; that they do not join in on the meetings, but they will come out for a free lunch. He will bring this up at the upcoming lunch.

 

 

Community awareness – Judy mentioned that there is a City International Diversity Day on Oct 1st.

She will inquire about our having a table there, if there is a cost, and if there is a rain date. It was discussed about bringing promotional supplies. Lynn offered that she has some Kernal books. She will check with Rosemary as to what she might have.

 

Supplies – John stated that there used to be a big and little pull up banners for the club. He will check with Rosemary to see if she has them. He also inquired if Rosemary has a box of promotional materials that we might be able to give out at community events.
