1. Roll Call: 5 members in attendance

2. President Rosemary Freedman called the meeting to order at 10:11am.



3. Secretary’s Report: Linda Mackey

Linda Mackey read the September minutes. Brian Mackey motioned to approve;
seconded by Judy Vaskorlis; unanimously approved.



4. Treasurer’s Report: Brian Mackey

Brian Mackey provided the following treasury figures. Linda Mackey motioned
to approve; seconded by Angel Torres; unanimously approved.

5. *Old Business*:



*Community awareness* – Judy did not get the needed information soon enough
to participate in the City International Diversity Day on Oct 1st. There
would have been $50 entry fee. Question re: insurance – Brian stated that
the affiliate has liability insurance



*Social* – Luncheon at Azteca for Sept. 15th was cancelled.   Being
rescheduled for November 17th

Paid members are free up to $25 (no alcohol). Please RSVP to Rosemary by
Nov. 10th

*Dues must be paid before11/17 for free luncheon*



 *Supplies – *Judy has some flyers/promotional materials that were to be
used at the Diversity Day.  Rosemary stated she has the large banner at her
house.



*Raffle* – tickets were due in by September 30th

Here is your chance to participate and learn more about the NFB’s programs
and goals on the state and national level. Hear from the NFB national
representative. Also, hear from speakers on topics of national and state
importance, membership, seniors, technology, Braille, students, guide dog
users, merchants, deafblind, and parents’ concerns, meet the scholarship
class of 2023 and much more!



We will be live streaming portions of the convention that will be recorded
for archival purposes on the website. The agenda will be available on
NEWSLINE® too!

*Annual State Convention Donations*

            Approved to donate: $50 to Veterans

                                              $50 to the Banquet

                                              $50 towards hotel rooms
($25/pp-Brian & Linda Mackey)

Donations are need for door prizes. Judy has two: Phillies cross-over bag
and a 3D plaque “Have you Hugged your Teddy Bear Today”

After a discussion, it was decided to leave it available for $100/pp



7. Rosemary moved to end the meeting at 10:43 am



Our next meeting will be December 8, 2023 via the affiliate’s Zoom room
(meeting ID 215 988 0888).

(No November meeting due to state convention)
