Denice has been a remarkable advocate and a true example of what it means to serve with passion and commitment. We are deeply thankful for her many years of service and for the positive impact she has made in our community.</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">A little about me \u2014 I lost my sight in 2016 as a result of domestic violence while I was two months pregnant. My journey since then has been one of growth, resilience, and faith. I joined the National Federation of the Blind in August 2020, in the midst of the pandemic, and quickly found a community that shared my passion for advocacy and empowerment. During the last term, I served as the 1st Vice President of our chapter.
