Jigsaw Chapter Meeting Minutes

Saturday, December 3, 2022

The meeting was called to order at 10:06 am, by President, Dave Miller.  

Present were 8 members:  President Dave Miller, Vice President Chris
Westbrook, Secretary, Alta St. Louis, State President Lynn Heitz, Christine
Callahan, Brian Mackey, Frank Beam, Rob Sarabaugh.

 

ROUND TABLE

 Chris stated he is working on NFB website.  Also church stuff and work is
going well.

Alta mentioned traveled for Thanksgiving and now getting ready for
Christmas.

Christine mentioned she was in North Carolina for Thanksgiving and getting
ready for Christmas.

Rob mentioned he is in Florida, heading back to PA.  He also mentioned he is
trying to get tickets to a show and getting ready for Christmas.

Brian mentioned busy time at work, Doubletree.

Frank mentioned he had a nice Thanksgiving, he also mentioned he has a
device that is not working well.

Lynn mentioned State Convention was well attended.  Next year State
Convention will be at the Holiday Inn Crown Plaza, Harrisburg, PA, November
9 thru 12, rooms are $99 per night.  Washington Seminar is January 30th,
members can attend and contact Emily at vt2 at nfbp.org <mailto:vt2 at nfbp.org> ,
room rates are $109 for single and $119 for a double.  National Convention
will be July 1 thru 6 at Hilton Americas, Houston, Texas.  She also
mentioned she had a nice Thanksgiving with her daughter and will be taking a
train to San Diego to spend Christmas and New Year with her middle daughter.

 

OLD BUSINESS

Dave mentioned $5 state dues are coming up, information will be sent to
members.

 

NEW BUSINESS

Election was held.  President, Chris nominated Dave, Brian motioned to
close, Dave was elected.  Vice President, Frank nominated Chris, Dave
motioned to close, Chris was elected.  Secretary, Dave suggested to table
till next meeting, Dave motioned to table and Frank second the motion till
January 7th.

 

PRESIDENTIAL RELEASE

Members were able to listen to the release.

President Mark Riccobono delivers presidential release #522 before a live
virtual audience from Members Hall at the Jernigan Institute. He provides
perspective and updates with Lyft, Indeed pre-employment assessments, 2023
Washington Seminar, Scholarship Program, and PSAs. President Riccobono also
shares Federation Family news, reflection from the year, and the customary
endings.

 

Dave wished all a Merry Christmas and Happy and safe New Year! 

Next Meeting, Saturday, January 7, at 10:00 am.
