NFBP Jigsaw chapter meeting January 7, 2023

Members in attendance President: David Miller, Linda Mackey, Brian Mackey,
Vice-President Chris Westbrook, Tom Brown, Rob Farrabaugh, Preston Gaylor
and Christine Callaghan

Meeting called  to order at 10:07 AM by President David Miller

Round Table

Chris had a  great Christmas and new years, spending time with family, Also,
he has been asked to serve as   president of the deaf blind division ofn
NFBPA.

Brian has been working hard at the Double Tree and did remind us about our
annual dues of $5 due at the end of January. Dues are to be sent to the
state affiliate and Dave Miller emailed out Brian's mailing address and Pay
pal instructions for paying them.

Linda has been sick. but hopefully is on the mend to feeling better!

Rob had a great Christmas with his family.

And possibly will be getting new neighbors in the near future!

Preston has been doing well, focusing  job applying for an IRS job, and his
community activities are going well.

Tom is wishing for good health and blessings for the new Year.

Christine Callaghan has been doing well 

 

Preston has been nominated and elected to NFB Jigsaw for 2023 term as
secretary.

 

Old Business

 

Brian informed us that rooms for National Convention are now open

Convention registration will not be open online until March.

 

The national convention is July 1st through July 6th  in Houston Texas.

If going, it's best to arrive on June 30th.

More information about this year's annual gathering  can be found on the NFB
Convention web page.

 

Chris did invite us to NFBP deaf blind meeting on Monday at 7:00 PM.

 

 

No new business was mentioned.

 

David did set up and played the presidential Release for January.

Meeting wrapped up at 10:57 AM.

Next month's meeting will be on Saturday, February 4th   at 10:00 am via
Zoom.
