NFB PA Jigsaw meeting Minutes
June 3rd, 2023
Members in Present, Preston Gaylor, Emily Gindlesperger, Brian Mackey,
Frank Marsh, Rob Farabaugh, David Miller, and Katheryn Clegg
Members called to order at 10:13 AM
Round Table
Preston has been getting ready for summer travels, and recently
interviewed this year's 2 scholarship winners for White Canes Connect.
Frank has nothing to report.
Rob has been working hard with his recent yard sale.
Brian has been busy between with work, golfing, and treasury items.
Katheryn has been getting ready for national convention, howerver she
got stuck in an evelator, thankfuly her and her dog got out safely
thanks to assistance from staff in her senior complex in MD.
David will be attending his first national convention for 3 days with his work.
Emily won't be at convention, her daughter will be partaking in a
local play of the Lion King locally.
This Thursday, the OVR quarterly meeting will be taking place on zoom.
She did report that the latest bill for the Accessibility and
Adfordable technology act has been co-signed by 3 state sponsors!
Emily has also been appointed to convention chair.
State convention will be in Harrisburg at the Crown plaza -- November 9-12
Featuring senior possibilities fair, vetaran's celebration, board
meeting, divisions, resolutions, state wide talent show, basket raval,
and more.
More info to come!!!
On June 15th, BBVS philly will be around to talk about what they do,
Emily plans to bring local BBVS offices into the recordings during the
next few months.
Parents have been working their candy funderaiser powered by Sarah's
Candys, she said that it will be back in Fall of 2023.
Old Business
David did remind us about national connvention, next Month's jigsaw
meeting will be cancelled.
No new business was mentioned.
The presidental release was played.
Next meeting will be on August 5th, 2023
