The National Federation of the Blind advances the lives of its members and
all blind people in the United States. We know that blindness is not the
characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the
expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. Our collective power, determination,
and diversity achieve the aspirations of all blind people.

Hi Stacie,
We’re excited to share a unique summer opportunity for college students:
American Foundation for the Blind’s Digital Accessibility Bootcamp
<https://afb.org/internships/bootcamp>. This is a 3-month summer program
that challenges students to consider accessibility early in the design and
development process by understanding how people with disabilities access
and use digital products and experiences every day. Students will explore
the evolving landscape of digital accessibility, learn how common assistive
technologies work, and use assistive technology like screen readers to
navigate and test a user interface.
This program is specifically for students in information or computer
science, cybersecurity, data science, UX and UI, marketing and design
programs. While all students in these majors with and without disabilities are
eligible, we are specifically recruiting students who are blind or low
vision.
