The Senate also passed the bill as of 3/14 and the president signed it on 3/15. Yesterday afternoon, PA OVR received its remaining Grant Award Notification (GAN) for FFY25, and we were pleasantly surprised to find that we received a cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) for FFY25 in the amount of $16,784,173 bringing our total federal funds to $161.6M for the 10/1/2024-9/30/2025 period. For the past year, we have been told to plan for flat funding for the FFY25 after being flat funded in FFY24. This is great (and unexpected) news for PA OVR and the people that we serve. Over the coming days and weeks, we will be evaluating how to utilize these funds in the most efficient way possible to have the greatest impact on our customers while remaining fiscally conservative as we wait and see what the proposed FFY26 federal budget (10/1/2025-9/30-2026) has in store for the national VR program. We continue to closely monitor SSA Reimbursement earnings and will seek reallocation when it becomes available in July to hopefully bring in additional federal dollars to our program.

There are many groups continuing to advocate for the VR program on the national stage, and I will continue to share information as it becomes available.
