Good afternoon everyone,

This is a great day for our chapter. After months of planning,
designing, and building our World-Wide Web Site went live at 12 15 p.m. CST.
In it's short life the site has all ready had several pages updates and a
fly or two has been swatted; (Page problems corrected.) I heard that
everyone was in awe of what we created together. As A. Z. told us last week
this will become the "Gold Standard" for our affiliate's Web sites.

Some of the areas aren't as developed as I hoped they would be at launch
time and information I promised would be on the site has yet to be included.
Please except my apology for this. The important thing to remember here is
that we pored the foundation, it is hardening, and we can soon begin
building the house; an even greater Web presence.

This day also brought more exciting news when I checked my email after
Mary left. Many of you know about my purchess of $1000.00 worth of
professional recording equipment prior to the national convention and the
"Hell" I went through to transport it to Detroit and back; challenges Cindy
Garcia witnessed first-hand. We didn't have difficulties getting the
equipment there on Southwest Airlines. It was getting me there that was a
character builder. If anyone wants to know why I went through the trouble to
purchess such expensive gear and hall it to Detroit and back the answer can
be found at:

I recorded the 2009 Back-to-Basic Seminar and a number of other
convention events for the Affiliate Action Department and some other
divisions. I'm thrilled to know that some of my work is now on our national
Web Site to tech others how to build strong local chapters and state
affiliates. For me returning to Detroit was also a way to bring a closure to
events that occurred at the previous national convention held there in 1994
but I never expected it to happen in such a big way! You can bet steak is on
for supper tonight!

If any of you find problems with text, broken links, or or other page
functionality working incorrectly please report it to me so I can
troubleshoot them quickly. Be sure to include the direct URL to the page in
question so I can find it quickly. Also tell me the whereabouts on the page
you found the problem. This does much to make testing and debugging go
faster.

Mary and I wish all of you a wonderful weekend and a great week ahead.
Now to hail an air taxi the next time I need to fly particularly to Dallas
Love Field. Talk to you later.

"Will you come and awake our lost land from its slumber
And her fetters we'll break, links that long are encumbered.
And the air will resound with hosannas to greet you
On the shore will be found gallant Irishmen to greet you."
Will You Come to the Bower
