I really believe in the value and scope of this dialogue, and I encourage you to check out the resources below to learn more and possibly get involved to help to grow this new group. Do you volunteer your time once in a while in the community or with your local church and want to find other blind individuals to connect with? Do you find community service interesting, but are not sure that you as a blind person can get involved or don?t know how to begin? Here's you're oppertunity! We are a small group of people interested in doing community service. We enjoy giving back , and we believe that it is important for blind people to get involved in the community. We started with our second annual plate sell. We are happy to announce that it was a big success, and we would like to thank everybody who made it all possible. On June 17 we will be participating in a unique event. Destination Wonderland is a state wide conference geared towards all parents of blind children. It is going to be an all day event and if you have not signed up to participate and you are interested, please contact Cindy Garcia and make sure you are on the list. Location: 5223 David Edwards Dr., Morgan?s Wonderland, San Antonio, Tx. The event will be from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. We are working on locating a new meeting room space, and we truly apologize for all of the confusion this has caused. DBS will be having renovations done to their conference room these next couple of months so as far as this months meeting is concerned, we are going out!
