Subject: [NFBT] Help in Dallas Area
To: "<member at nfbtx.org>" <member at nfbtx.org>
Hello y'all,
I am looking for some suggestions related to housing in the Dallas area.
Here is what I am looking for.
I have gotten a call from a blind senior who moved to Plano after losing
his home in Florida in a hurricane. He is currently staying in a hotel but
his monthly income will not allow him to keep doing that. He n3ds a
reasonably priced apartment. I think a studio or one bedroom would be good.
I am trying to help find something under $1,000 in a decent neighborhood.
As I said, he currently lives in Plano. However, staying there might be a
good choice because I don't think there is much transportation in Plano.
He not only needs a place to live; he needs transportation and a community
of blind people. If you have info about a reasonable rental option in a
city with at least some transportation options, feel free to contact me.
I have some meetings scheduled tomorrow, but if I am not available when you
call, I will return your call as soon as I can. My direct number is
281-824-4045.
Thanks for your help.
Best,
