Good morning, everyone,

Well, you can just ignore the message I sent yesterday regarding our caucus and put this on your calendar instead. Our caucus time and location have been moved. This will save us a trip to the 41st floor. So, that is a good thing. Our caucus is now scheduled for July 9 at 7:15 PM. We will meet in Salon 2, which I believe is on the 4th floor. 

As I mentioned yesterday, bring your banquet tickets if you have picked up your registration packet. The earlier we turn in tickets for banquet exchange the better our seats will be. Emily will gather as many tickets as possible that evening. As a reminder, we need to exchange your tickets if you wish to sit with a Texas group. If you don't care where you sit, or if you have a friend group you are joining, you are welcome to do your own banquet exchange. I will provide additional information about banquet exchange and other convention information at the caucus. 

Being president will allow you to ask questions that you may have about the convention. We'll answer anything we can.

I hope you are all doing well. I will try to share this again, and hopefully, chapter presidents can share it at their chapter meetings as well. 

The NFB of Texas caucus is scheduled for 11 AM on July 9. We are meeting in the St. Charles room. I am sad to say it is on the 41st floor. That sadness has to do with the elevators at the Marriott, but I have confidence in all of you and know that you'll manage to get an elevator on time.

If you can do it, pick up your registration packet before the caucus so you will have your banquet tickets. If you wish to sit with other Texans at the banquet, Emily Gibbs will collect tickets and take them to the banquet exchange table for our group. If you have friends from other states who you wish to sit with, that is absolutely fine, but we always offer our Texas folks the opportunity to sit together if they want to.

We want everyone who isn't participating in an important meeting to come, and we have a special birthday celebration. Nothing huge, but we want to sing Happy Birthday to our First Gentleman, who is celebrating his 80th birthday this year. Come help us sing Happy Birthday to Glenn, but don't mention it to him if you talk to him before the convention. He isn't an email reader, so he won't see this unless his iCanConnect trainers help him work on that before we get to New Orleans.
