[NFBSATX] Holiday party and 50/50 raffle

Invitation and request for holiday party RSVP

(Also remember our 50/50 raffle winner will be drawn at the party so don't
forget to purchase your tickets  by sending $5 for 1 ticket and $20 for 5
tickets to Pay Pal at the address of sanantonio at nfbtx.org) 

 

As many of you already know, we have substituted our holiday party in place
of  a December chapter meeting. Below is the details for our chapter holiday
party 

 /white elephant gift exchange.  As a courtesy to the

restaurant for staffing purposes we need you to RSVP either by commenting on
this post or emailing me at wwalker at nfbtx.org no later than Monday, December
8th.

(You can still attend if you do not RSVP but the restaurant might be

understaffed if more people show up than what we anticipate. So please

do me a favor and RSVP, even if it is after the 8th)

 

You will be responsible to pay for your own meal so what you order and

how much is up to you. Prices average $15 for a meal.

Also, tipping your wait staff would be appreciated.

When: Saturday, December 13 from 1 to 4 PM

We have reserved a private room which also includes a private

bathroom, a private entrance by the handicap parking and we will have

wait staff assigned to the room. It is a large room and we will have

plenty of room to spread out.

 

Make sure to wear your ugly sweaters/t-shirts and you do not have to be a
member to join the fun and attend the party.

(Ugly sweater contest prize of $25!)

 

50/50 Raffle details:

Winner will receive half of the proceeds and the other half will go to the
chapter scholarship to be awarded Spring 2026. Tickets are $5 for one ticket
and $20 for five tickets. Payments can be sent to our Pay Pal through the
email address sanantonio at nfbtx.org for ticket purchases. Please indicate
this is for the raffle on your payment memo.

 

White Elephant Gift Exchange details:

This is optional but a lot of fun. The suggested amount to spend on a

gift is $20 to $25 but it can be more or less at your discretion. We try to
get unusual gifts to make the game more fun and more steals likely (there
will be an instigator assigned to encourage this). 

 

We will start eating around 1PM. Numbers will be drawn around 2PM for  the
white elephant gift

exchange to see who goes first and then let the fun begin!  If you

have never participated in one before don't

worry, we will talk you through it.
