Whatever your level of talent, we hope you will consider being a part of the 2nd Annual iBUG\u2019s Got Talent Showcase. Anyone from the blind community is welcomed and encouraged to submit an entry. This event will be held during the iBUG Unplugged program on Saturday, August 2, 2025, 7:00 PM Central Time on the iBUG Zoom conference platform. The iBUG\u2019s Got Talent Showcase will be produced and hosted by Pete Lane.<br>

Here's how it will work. You may submit an entry in one of the following talent categories:
<ol>
<li style="text-align:left">Musical \u2013 karaoke-style singing, instrumental and/or singing performance, original or cover.</li>
<li style="text-align:left">Non-musical \u2013 Oral presentation of original written composition: poetry, spoken word, dramatic reading, comedy, etc.</li>
<li style="text-align:left">New category, original composition of an iBUG Today theme song, lyrics and music, which captures the essence of the iBUG mission, \u201cpromote the individual independence, social integration, and educational development of the blind and visually impaired community through accessible technology training.\u201d</li>
</ol>
<br>
<strong>Rules (please read and strictly adhere to the following rules to be considered for the iBUG\u2019s Got Talent Showcase)</strong>:<br>
1. Create an audio recording of your performance (5-minute max).<br>
2. Include a short introduction of yourself, where you are from, and the reason you chose the song or explain the meaning of your performance (this is all part of your 5-minute recording).<br>
3. Submissions may include a vocal song, instrumental piece, poetry reading, dramatic reading, spoken word, skit, or comedy routine.<br>
4. Send the recording as an attachment via email to <a href="mailto:ibugtoday@gmail.com" style="color:#007c89;font-weight:normal;text-decoration:underline" target="_blank">ibugtoday@gmail.com</a>. <br>
5. Include in the body of the email, your name and phone number.<br>
6. Include in the email Subject line, \u201ciBUG\u2019s Got Talent Entry \u2013 Your Name\u201d.<br>
7. The deadline for all submissions is Sunday, June 15, 2025.<br>
8. You should receive acknowledgement of receipt of your submission not later than June 22, 2025. Please note that if you do not receive this acknowledgment, you are responsible for following up via the iBUG email only to determine whether your entry was received by the iBUG team.<br>
9. You will be notified by July 13, 2025 if we have selected your submission for the showcase.<br>
10.You must be present on the evening of the iBUG\u2019s Got Talent Showcase. Your pre-recorded submission will be played at the iBUG Unplugged event on Saturday, August 2, 2025.<br>
11.iBUG reserves the right to use your performance (whether or not it is selected for the showcase) in pre- and post-event publicity and future iBUG events.<br>
12.Prizes will be awarded.<br>
