Ticket Cost: $5 *FREE for students under 22.

Who tells our story? How are we portrayed? Too often disabled people are
excluded from these conversations and our stories are told by non-disabled
writers, reporters and actors.

Rooted in Rights is unique in the media landscape, responding to a critical
need for disabled people to be at the forefront of journalism and creative
media, telling our own authentic stories. Our team of disabled filmmakers,
storytellers and activists are taking control of our own narratives. Join
us for an interactive discussion on creative media and disability rights
with Rooted in Rights staff, storytellers, and a selection of short videos
created by Storytellers across the country.
The event space is wheelchair accessible. Captioned and audio described
films. CART services will be provided, ASL upon request. Please contact
production at townhallseattle.org to request any additional accessibility
services or accommodations.
