> What to Expect:
> Please join us for an afternoon of learning, networking, and fun at the Microsoft Conference Center in Redmond, WA on May 30th! The goal of the event is to bring together members of the disability community to build awareness around accessibility and disability inclusion and provide networking opportunities. Anyone who is interested in learning more about Accessibility at Microsoft is welcome to attend this free event.
>
> The high-energy afternoon kicks off with an opening general session featuring our President, Brad Smith, Microsoft Chief Accessibility Officer Jenny Lay-Flurrie and Chief Marketing Officer Chris Capossela, along with a special cast of characters. Join Chris and get an inside look into the history of disability inclusion in Microsoft’s marketing and advertising. Chris will explore the evolution of our early ad campaigns featuring people with disabilities, dating back to our first Super Bowl ad in 2014 all the way through our most recent in 2019. You’ve seen the ads on TV, now get the inside story behind their creation and what we’ve learned along the way.
>
> Attendees can then visit an open house, which includes a Job Fair, Product Expo, and the Inclusive Tech Lab. The product expo offers demos of the accessibility features within Microsoft products and the job fair will include many other amazing companies who want to meet candidates with disabilities and discuss job opportunities. This year’s Job Fair employers include: Accenture, Alaska Airlines, AtWork! Boeing, Compass group, Department of Services for the Blind, Expedia, EY, Facebook, Homestreet Bank, Microsoft, Northwest Center, Starbucks, T-Mobile, and VR-Net. Candidates bring your resumes!
