Join us at a public meeting to learn more about the new Closed Captioning Ordinance.

The Seattle Office for Civil Rights<https://seattle.us10.list-manage.com/track/click?u=ac75b3ad7b4529d7a58d3b08e&id=0def95782a&e=892e03c0d1> (SOCR) is hosting a public meeting to share information and gather feedback about the new Closed Captioning in Places of Public Accommodation Ordinance<https://seattle.us10.list-manage.com/track/click?u=ac75b3ad7b4529d7a58d3b08e&id=345d19bd34&e=892e03c0d1>. The Ordinance creates a new requirement that closed captioning be turned on when television receivers are in places of public accommodation. SOCR is proposing rules that will guide enforcement of this new law.

When: Wednesday, September 25, 2019 from 5:30PM - 6:30PM
Where: The Central Building, 810 Third Avenue Suite 230, Seattle, WA

Join us for an overview, to ask questions, and give comments.
SOCR is holding this public comment meeting after the proposed rules are posted so people have a chance to review them ahead of time.
