Updates from SAM on Art Beyond Sight

Dear Art Beyond Sight supporters,

I hope you are all well. I'm reaching out to confirm what you likely already
knew-that the April 25 and May 20 Art Beyond Sight Tours are canceled. The
Seattle Art Museum remains closed until further notice and all programs are
canceled at least until July 1.

One thing I've noticed is how much art has helped heal, process, and find
joy during this challenging time. At SAM, we are still working to connect
art to life for all of our audiences even without access to the physical
museum. I hope you can check out these digital resources while you are
staying at home.

1. We were supposed to be meeting at the Seattle Asian Art
Museum on Saturday. Instead, you can listen to SAM's Low or No Vision Audio
Tours by clicking here: https://soundcloud.com/seattle-art-museum. The
featured tour on this site is of the newly renovated and-briefly-reopened
Seattle Asian Art Museum.

2. In May, we were going to explore the work of multimedia
artist Aaron Fowler, the recipient of SAM's Jacob Lawrence and Gwendolyn
Knight Prize. This young man has a lot to say - you can listen to his artist
talk from a few years' back here:

3. For updates, behind-the-scene features, and art activities
follow the SAM Blog here: http://samblog.seattleartmuseum.org/. We're
posting new content just about daily.

If you have other avenues that we can all connect with or feedback for ways
SAM can remain accessible during this time, please respond to this email or
email access at seattleartmuseum.org <mailto:access at seattleartmuseum.org> .

I hope to see you all again soon. In the meantime, stay safe and healthy.

Best,

Kelsey
