Public Health - Seattle & King County and the Design and Civic Engagement Group of King County Information Technology (KCIT) are seeking a Web Content Specialist (Website Developer - Journey) to develop and maintain key county web sites for our COVID-19 response. This work will help provide critical information about King County's response about the pandemic.

Reporting to Public Health - Seattle & King County and serving jointly on Public Health's Communications Team and KCIT's Design and Civic Engagement Services unit, the Web Content Specialist will be responsible for supporting Public Health's day-to-day web and content management system.

The ideal candidate will excel at working independently and collaboratively with Public Health staff and Design and Civic Engagement Team members in managing and supporting content and web development, aligning quality control and accessibility standards with current design and web infrastructure standards. You will be a key member of the Design and Civic Engagement team in supporting the county's content management system (SiteCore). You will become proficient in utilizing the Design and Civic Engagement content platforms, programming technologies and analytical tools in working with Public Health customers.

As a Web Content Specialist you will need to be highly organized and an excellent listener as you develop strong working relationships with your customers. When working on business initiatives, you will be responsible for evaluating customer requirements leading and coordinating content schedules and managing multiple requests to keep pace with business demands. This position will be working on multiple tasks and initiatives concurrently. You will be required to utilize your business and personal acumen to meet challenges and deadlines while continuing to achieve high customer satisfaction. Experience in the public sector is desirable but not necessary.
