NFB Greater Seattle Chapter Meeting minutes 

October, 17th, 2020

 

Meeting began at 10:00am

September's minutes were moved and approved. 

 

Treasury Report: 

$1,800.23 - Beginning Balance

+.04 - Interest accruals

-30.00 Withdrawals (NFB PAC Contributions 

=$1,770.27 - Ending Balance

 

 

Joel Miller from SDOT was our speaker for the month.

Riding will not be allowed on the sidewalk, only in the bike lanes, trails,
etc. 

They've built about 150 parking Carouse.

Users who want to use the scooters will need to take a quiz to ride. Riders
will need to take it within there first 3 to 5 rides.  

 

Lime, Seated which is called wheels, and Link will be the company's that
will have the seated scooters.

Each company will have about 500 scooters.

There  goal is to have about 6,000 scooters out there.

Currently SDOT has 4 auditors, but they want to expand.

SDOT is working with Metro to look at different areas to pilot Geo fencing.

Washington Seminar 2021 will be held virtual. 

 

For convention, you will need to choose which break out sessions you want to
attend, and let Jim Portillo or Corey Grandstaff know so they can assign you
there.
