Hi,

I don't remember if I sent these earlier or not, but here they are again for
you to look at so we can vote on approving them at tomorrow meeting.

Thanks to Crystal Jones for taking notes last month.

See you there!

Jim

*	Venmo will not work based on Cory's research

*	PayPal will probably be the best option based on discussion.

State Update

*	State Convention

*	Start Date: Friday, November 6, 2020
*	Jim Dashall from Hawaii will be our national rep for the state
convention
*	We'll also have a NABS rep
*	Marci is going to start planning for the virtual event
*	Marci will be learning whether we can use the same voting platform
that National used.
*	We'll have an updated zoom account for breakouts etc.
*	You can attend other state conventions by going to nfb.org
<http://www.google.com/url?q=http%3A%2F%2Fnfb.org&sa=D&sntz=1&usg=AFQjCNGxGP
iP1sY7v2zSyCImXMLi1LaFlw>  and searching for states.

*	We will have resolutions and voting. Sync with Noel if you are
interested in writing a resolution.

Voting and Elections

*	Jim shared Cory's FB post via email that describes the hurtles for
accessible voting and specifically, getting sighted assistance for printing
and signing ballots to submit by mail.
*	Oregon has changed the envelope to incorporate tactile punch holes
for Blind folks to independently sign their ballot.
*	Currently, military and overseas voters do not have to jump through
all the hoops to snail mail their ballot, so we'll be looking at some
legislation to accomplish something similar. Ongoing research with
Disability Rights Washington and looking for sponsors in the state
legislature.
*	Questions

*	What is the purpose of the cut out?

*	It is if you are using a regular business envelope to add your
tracking info with a bar card.

*	Do Oregonians still have to sign the printed paper?

*	No, the signed envelope is the only thing signed.

*	Does any other state permit online voting?

*	Marci will investigate.
*	Maryland has an accessible ballot marking tool too, but we don't
know if it also requires a signature.

*	Were there any complaints related to the latest primary election?

*	Marci hasn't heard anything, but will discuss in the next voting
disability advisory call.
*	Jim used Century Link field and says it went well.

*	Do you have to make an appointment to vote in person?

*	No, that is something Clark County incorrectly told Cory.

*	If you have not registered to vote yet, call 206-296-VOTE

National Convention Discussion

*	Open discussion and thoughts on how convention went.
