Hello fellow disability advocates!

Please read the thread below and assess your interest in providing feedback to the City of Seattle on the redevelopment of the Waterfront project. The outreach team is particularly interested in hearing from those in the deaf and blind communities. Feel free to share this with your friends and allies. If you are interested, please reach out to Byamba Enkhee at benkhee at enviroissues.com.

Thank you, Cindi. I will forward you the Zoom meeting link and meeting materials a few days before the meeting. Please let me know if you need anything before then.

We are also specifically looking for folks who can speak to needs of deafblind folks in public spaces - please let me know if you know someone who would be interested in providing feedback.

Best,
Byamba

Hello,

I hope you have been well since we last spoke!

Thank you for your interest in our focus groups earlier this year. Our Waterfront Seattle<https://na01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwaterfrontseattle.org%2F&data=04%7C01%7C%7Cec7ef4ea321d47ff616c08d8f9ea850f%7C84df9e7fe9f640afb435aaaaaaaaaaaa%7C1%7C0%7C637534132935607325%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C1000&sdata=ndlvjMNBTi5GTDzPRis4QbwTG%2B3ef%2FtEaNIw6z8OsuQ%3D&reserved=0> outreach team is preparing two virtual meetings to hear about accessibility considerations in project design. We will have a meeting that focuses on Pier 58 and the Restroom design from 5:30-7:30 PM on Wednesday, April 28. You will be able to see any design updates since the focus groups at this meeting.

We have a second meeting that focuses on the Pike/Pine and Pioneer Square projects from 5:30-7:30 PM on Thursday, May 6. Please let me know if you would like to attend either or both of these meetings.

I should note that we have invited current Commission for People with disAbilities members and asking for some of their members to attend. If you cannot make our meetings but would still like to provide feedback, we will figure out another way to do this (either one-on-one phone call, email, etc.). Please let me know also if you know of folks who are deafblind or who can provide feedback on needs of deafblind folks in public spaces - thank you!

Byamba
