Phase 1 - Road closed for 26 days this summer

Beginning in August, we will close the Montlake Bridge to vehicles around
the clock for 26 days to replace the metal grates on the bridge's roadway
surface. The bridge's sidewalks will stay open.

Phase 2 - Road and sidewalks closed on weekends this fall

For up to five full weekends in the fall, we will close the bridge for
everyone who drives, walks, or rolls across the Montlake Cut. We'll keep the
bridge in the raised position as we restore the components that open and
close the drawspans, just as they've done for the last 96 years.
