Jacob —

Multimodal transportation looks different in every community. In some places, it's high capacity trains like SoundTransit. In some places, it's regional bus service like Ben Franklin Transit. In some places it's separated trails and in others it's ferries. Ideally it always includes safe and accessible space for people who walk and roll.

This week we want to know: What does multimodal transportation look like in your community? Take a photo or video this week of your multimodal travel and post it on Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook with the hashtag #TakesTransportation.

Be sure to share where you are in Washington, the transit or routes you use most often, why this option works for you, and what could be better. And tag <https://transportationchoicescoalition.cmail20.com/t/j-l-zludlyd-tiwutilit-j/> your state legislators so they know this matters to you. Tell them why you think Washington should invest in more multimodal projects in the future.

This week is also the first annual Week Without Driving, a chance for elected leaders and policymakers across Washington to use multimodal transportation exclusively to better learn the barriers non-drivers experience accessing community, necessities, and opportunities.

So at some point this week challenge yourself to turn a usual car trip into another mode, or show us what your regular multimodal mobility looks like.

Sincerely,
Transportation Choices Coalition
