The below research participant solicitation is being provided for informational purposes only. The National Federation of the Blind has no involvement in this research, but we believe that it may contribute to our research mission.

 

Jump-Start Your Job Search!

Seeking adults who are blind or have low vision to join our study. 

Researchers at the National Research & Training Center on Blindness & Low Vision are recruiting adult job seekers with blindness or low vision for a remote job search skills training study. No travel required.

 

Participants will have the opportunity to earn up to $80 in gift cards for completing the study activities.


What does the study involve?


*         Take four online surveys over 20 months

*         Submit a resume with the first two surveys

*         Be randomly assigned to receive resources or attend group training


Participation may include:


*         Learn job-seeking strategies for today’s job market

*         Get job search information and resources by email

*         Attend a 5-day group training program through Zoom

*         Provide feedback about the training


Who can participate?


*         Age 18+

*         Blind or have low vision

*         Live in the United States

*         Not working but ready to work
