Good afternoon accessibility stakeholders,

 

The notice is relevant for 1 Line passengers who use Northgate, Roosevelt, U
District, and University of Washington stations on weekends between the
start of service until 9 a.m. or between 9 p.m. and the end of service.

 

During these hours on, June 9-11 and June 16-18, Sound Transit will be
conducting maintenance on the 1 Line electrical system along the north end
of the alignment.  This work will result the following service impacts
during maintenance hours:

 

*	1 Line trains will be single tracking, and there will be platform
closures at Northgate, Roosevelt, U District, and University of Washington
stations.  
*	All 1 Line trains will terminate at University of Washington
station.  After deboarding passengers at University of Washington station,
trains will reverse direction.  Passengers traveling beyond University of
Washington will get off the train at this station and wait for the next
train going in the direction they intend to go. 
*	Trains operating between Northgate and University of Washington will
operate every 24 minutes.  Trains operating between University of Washington
and Angle Lake will operate every 12 minutes.

The maintenance hours during which these service impacts will occur are:

 

*	Beginning 9 p.m. Fri, June 9, until 9 a.m. Sat, June 10
*	Beginning 9 p.m. Sat, June 10, until 9 a.m. Sun, June 11
*	Beginning 9 p.m. Fri, June 16, until 9 a.m. Sat, June 17
*	Beginning 9 p.m. Sat, June 17, until 9 a.m. Sun, June 18

During the June 9-11 maintenance hours, the southbound (Angle Lake) platform
will be closed at Northgate, Roosevelt, U District, and University of
Washington stations, and all passengers will board and deboard the 1 Line on
the Northgate platform regardless of direction of travel.

 

During the June 16-19 maintenance hours, the northbound (Northgate) platform
will be closed at Northgate, Roosevelt, U District, and University of
Washington stations, and all passengers will board and deboard the 1 Line on
the Angle Lake platform regardless of direction of travel.

 

Sound Transit staff will be available to assist passengers at the University
of Washington Station during each morning of this service disruption.
Security are on site at each of the impacted stations during all hours of
operation.  

 

As a reminder, several other 1 Line service disruptions are planned in June
for other necessary maintenance, including:

 

*	June 4, from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m., the 1 Line rail service will be
replaced by a bus bridge between Westlake and SODO stations.
*	June 6, 13, 20, 27, from 11 p.m. to end of service, 1 Line riders
should expect delays during late-night trips due to single tracking to
replace rail lines near the at Tukwila International Boulevard Station.
*	June 27, from 11 p.m. to end of service, the northbound platform at
Tukwila International Boulevard Station will be closed; all passengers must
board on the southbound platform (signs indicating Angle Lake).
