Our Draft Plan Engagement Period concluded on May 20th, following a two week
extension. This extra time allowed for more community members to share their
thoughts on the Draft One Seattle Plan-we received almost 6,000 comments
during the 10-week comment period. We appreciate your input!

Most feedback came through our Engagement Hub and project email address, but
we also received many comment cards at our seven Draft Plan Open Houses and
at our City Hall offices. In-person engagement events drew over a thousand
residents who showed up to speak with our staff to learn more and share
their thoughts on the Draft Plan. At these events, many participants opted
to submit feedback on the spot, utilizing their phones, City laptops cued to
the Engagement Hub, or by submitting written notes in a good old-fashioned
comment box. Standout analog feedback contributions were a stack of
postcards delivered to our staff at an Open House event, and a folder of
handwritten letters (and drawings) from a third-grade class. Whatever form
your feedback took, we deeply appreciate the collective time and effort that
went into submitting comment on the Draft One Seattle Plan.

In the coming weeks and months, we will carefully review and analyze the
community input we have received on the Draft Plan. We look forward to
working with the Mayor's Office and City Council Staff to utilize this input
as we work towards a Final Plan. We want to thank everyone who has
participated in the One Seattle Plan engagement process over the past two
years. Your input is vital in creating a plan that truly reflects our
community's needs-thank you so much for your essential participation in this
work!
