  National Federation of the Blind of Washington Greater Seattle Chapter
  Meeting

Come join us for the Greater Seattle Chapter Meeting of the NFB of 
Washington <http://www.nfbw.org/>, which will take place on March 09, 
2024, 11:00 AM through 1:00 PM, at Razzi’s Pizzeria 
<http://www.razzispizza.com/>, 8523 Greenwood Avenue North, Seattle, 
WA98103. Razzi’s is on the #5 bus line. Come as yourself, come on and be 
inspired and motivated to make change in our Seattle Area Blind 
community and be part of the Federation. It may be a smaller meeting 
time due to many people recuperating from the NFB State Convention we 
had (see below). At any rate, we’ll make it work. 😊 Everybody is 
welcome, member or not.

·Kristin Geary will lead us into the meeting with a little ice breaker. 
Don’t worry. It will be OK. She may just ask about your takeaways from 
the NFB Washington State Convention.

·There is a lot to talk about during this meeting. Many members attended 
the previously mentioned state Convention

held in Vancouver last week. Experiences will be shared, moments 
relived, and for those of us who have not had a chance to attend it, we 
may learn something new! Who knows.

·We have new board members, and this means new opportunities to learn 
and engage. And maybe even new members! Who knows.

·There will be updates about state and our up and coming NFB National 
Convention <http://www.nfb.org/convention/>, taking place in Orlando, 
Florida in early July. Marci and others will provide info about how to 
register and make reservations for your hotel and other stuff. Don’t 
miss it! We will also hear reports from the treasurer and secretary.

·We will also discuss about current fundraisers the chapter is taking 
on, as well as the organization of different committees. As always, 
input from members and nonmembers attending these meetings for different 
activities that we want to take on as a chapter, as well as new ideas 
for future meetings, is truly and wholeheartedly welcome! Don’t be shy! 😊

·Among other things, there will be fellowship, comradery and, as always, 
food! Razzi’s Restaurant has a variety of finely made menu items from 
which to choose, so come for the meeting, stay for the networking, 
mingle with other folks going through same things you are and grab some 
lunch! Note – there is also a Braille menu upon request at Razzi’s.

Looking so much forward to seeing everybody on Saturday, March 09, 2024, 
at 11:00 A.M. and for those planning their transportation in advance, 
apologies for sending out this announcement so late – I know we have 3 
days until the meeting. But I promise you, it’ll be a great meeting full 
of discussion, resource sharing, and yes of course, food! Also please

important information from time to time as well as announcements about 
upcoming chapter meetings.
