Hello all,

                Attached is info for an upcoming product demo intended for
the NFB Greater Seattle Chapter at the Seattle Central Library. April 13th
at 5:30 pm. 1000 4th ave.

ALEYE is HapWare's wearable assistive technology that gives people who are
blind, low vision, or deafblind access to nonverbal communication and social

cues that are typically visual. ALEYE integrates with the Meta smart glasses
to identify facial expressions, emotions, gestures, and body language in
real

time, then translates that information into gentle tactile feedback on the
user's wrist.

 

With ALEYE, users can understand cues like when someone is smiling, nodding,
engaged in conversation, reaching for a handshake, or walking away. The
system is designed for real-world social interactions at work, school, and
in everyday life. It is intuitive, customizable, and built so users can
prioritize the cues that matter most to them. Whether someone is preparing
for a job interview and wants to focus on engagement, handshakes, and head
nods, or a student wants to better connect with classmates by understanding
emotions, ALEYE helps make those moments more accessible.

We are currently providing live demos of ALEYE. That means a hands-on
experience where people can try the system for themselves, explore different
wristbands, and feel the vibration patterns that communicate specific social
and nonverbal cues. The demo helps people understand exactly how ALEYE works
in practice and what it feels like to receive this information through
touch.
