The Seattle City Council is currently debating amendments to the Seattle Transit Measure, our voter-approved sales tax that funds extra bus service within Seattle.

Mayor Wilson’s proposed renewal of the Seattle Transit Measure would expand bus service and get us beyond 2019 service levels. It would add 100,000 bus trips a year and cost the median two-person household $29 per year.

Not All Councilmembers Are On Board

City council is currently debating amendments that would CUT funding, shorten its duration, and slow down the delivery of new service. Amendment 13 from Bob Kettle (who represents Downtown and SLU) would actually cut bus service in Seattle.

1. Send our letter to Seattle City Council

Ask them to reject amendments that would shrink the Seattle Transit Measure and support the ones that strengthen it for the riders who depend on it most.

2. Rally at City Hall on Monday, July 13th at 4:30 PM

We need transit allies to TURN OUT on Monday, July 13th and tell city council to invest in our transit system! Join us for a rally at 4:30 PM inside city hall, followed by public comment at 5:00 PM. Come to show your support and make your voice heard.
