Subject: Upcoming Listening Sessions - Please distribute
To:
Hi All,
There have been several legislative bills passed over the past few years
that have influenced statewide education and vocational rehabilitation
program services for students with disabilities, offering more school to
work options statewide and extending the age of eligibility of special
education transition services to 22 years old.
The Transition Collaborative, a group of state agency leaders who provide
and advocate for transition services for students with disabilities, has
arranged a series of listening sessions for the community, including
students, families, and educators, regarding these changes. The input from
the sessions will help inform a report that will be provided to the
Legislature in fall of 2026. To attend a listening session, you must
register! The dates and registration links are below.
