Subject: Save ST3!
The Sound Transit Board is discussing unacceptable options to cut ST3! Join us at upcoming events, make yourself heard!
Thank you again for signing up to Save ST3! The Save Ballard Rail march was an amazing start, but the next decisions are coming up fast.
If we want to make sure we get rail to Ballard, and fully realize the entire vision of ST3, we need to keep showing up and making it clear our will is undeniable. We cannot lose out on all the important stations we voted for, like Graham Street Station, Smith Cove, Interbay, and Ballard.
There are three opportunities in the next week to do exactly that – starting TOMORROW night (Tuesday, May 5th):
* TCC Seattle Transit Town Hall <https://transportationchoices.org/transit-town-hall-the-future-of-light-rail-in-seattle-may-5/?link_id=0&can_id=dc8a22fb06bfbcb8b2fe2f7049987380&source=email-save-st3-3&email_referrer=email_3224278&email_subject=save-st3&&> , Tuesday, May 5th (TOMORROW), 6pm at Seattle City Hall: We need a big turnout at this meeting! It’s urgent to show the Seattle board members just how strongly we support rail to Ballard – and oppose any cuts or delays to ST3.
* Sound Transit Executive Committee Meeting <https://actionnetwork.org/events/st-board-may7?source=ballard&link_id=1&can_id=dc8a22fb06bfbcb8b2fe2f7049987380&email_referrer=email_3224278&email_subject=save-st3&> , Thursday, May 7th, at 10:30am at Union Station (doors open at 10am): Make your voice heard with a public comment before the board members deciding our fate (sign up early). If you can’t make it in person, you can also call in with a virtual comment <https://www.soundtransit.org/get-to-know-us/news-events/calendar/executive-committee-meeting-2026-05-07?link_id=2&can_id=dc8a22fb06bfbcb8b2fe2f7049987380&source=email-save-st3-3&email_referrer=email_3224278&email_subject=save-st3&&> .
Never given public comment before? This is a great time to start! Not sure what to say? Just read our ActionNetwork <https://actionnetwork.org/letters/save-st3?link_id=3&can_id=dc8a22fb06bfbcb8b2fe2f7049987380&source=email-save-st3-3&email_referrer=email_3224278&email_subject=save-st3&&> letter out loud. Able to come in person? We'll have signs for you to hold! Joining virtually? Expanding the light rail system is essential for our region's future. Polling shows that light rail expansion is extremely popular. The public doesn't want Sound Transit to abandon its promises. We want them to deliver the new rail lines we approved and have been paying for through our taxes for years.
LET'S BUILD IT ALL! TAKE ACTION NOW!
