WTBBL x King County Elections Usability Study

The Washington Talking Braille Library (WTBBL) and King County Elections (KCE) invite you to share your feedback about voting in an upcoming usability study.

City of Seattle voters will soon be using Ranked Choice Voting. As KCE prepares to launch Ranked Choice Voting in August 2027, they would appreciate feedback from voters who use Accessible Voting Units (AVUs). AVUs help voters independently mark and print their ballots.

King County Elections will hold two sessions at the Washington Talking Book & Braille Library:

Session 1:

Date: Monday, September 14th, 2026

Time: 11:00AM-2:00PM

Session 2:

Date: Tuesday, September 15th, 2026

Time: 11:00AM-2:00PM

You must be a City of Seattle voter to participate. No previous experience using an AVU or ranked choice voting is required.

The session will take approximately 30 minutes and will be facilitated by a King County Elections employee. During the session, participants will be asked to use an AVU to ranked choice vote, and provide feedback about their experience. Participants may stop at any time, and study responses will be kept confidential.

Participants will receive a $50 e-gift card as compensation for their time.

If you are a City of Seattle voter and are interested in participating, join us at WTBBL during either of the session time frames. No appointment needed.
