<p><font face="arial,helvetica,sans-serif" size="3"><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">For the remainder of Sunday and into the Monday morning commute, transit riders should <br>expect longer than normal travel times for all bus routes that travel through or near the <br>Mercer and Valley street areas between I-5 and Westlake, where streets remain closed <br>after Saturday’s crane accident.</span></font></p>
<p><font face="arial,helvetica,sans-serif" size="3"><u><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">Expect significant delays; allow plenty of time</span></u><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;"> <br>While most Metro routes do not use Mercer Street, transit riders can expect significant <br>delays due to other traffic that will be diverted from that area onto adjacent streets. Any <br>route traveling south on I-5 will likely experience delays until the ramp at Mercer Street is <br>re-opened. </span></font></p>
<p><font face="arial,helvetica,sans-serif" size="3"><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">All commuters and drivers are encouraged to avoid this area if possible.</span></font></p>
<p><font face="arial,helvetica,sans-serif" size="3"><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">North end commuters are encouraged to consider alternate options, such as using a <br>different mode of travel, traveling at different times, working from home if possible and not <br>driving alone, especially through the affected area.</span></font></p>
<p><font face="arial,helvetica,sans-serif" size="3"><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">Transit operation in this area is subject to change without notice if conditions in the <br>affected area change. <br><br>All commuters should watch media reports, be aware of conditions and allow plenty of extra <br>time. <br><br><u>Routes 63 & 64</u> <br>Metro routes 63 and 64 to Frist Hill will be affected Monday morning and will likely miss their <br>Fairview Av N stops, but are expected to serve their Capitol Hill and First Hill stops. The <br>exact details, however, are not yet known. Route 63 and 64 riders who normally board or <br>exit on Fairview should have an alternate plan for Monday morning and watch for a Transit <br>Alert with updates. </span></font></p>
