<p class="MsoNormal">The notice is relevant for 1 Line passengers, particularly those who use Othello and Rainier Beach stations. Between August 21 and September 17, Sound Transit will be replacing existing tiles along the edge of the platforms at these stations.
During this period, train frequencies will be reduced to 12 minutes in each direction systemwide, due to the need for all trains to use a single track between these stations. Platform closures are necessary to complete this work.

<p class="MsoNormal">The platform closures will occur during two phases:<o:p></o:p></p>

<li class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0in;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1">Beginning Monday, August 21 through Saturday, September 2, the Northbound platform (to Northgate) will be closed at Othello and Rainier Beach stations. During this phase, all passengers
will use the Southbound platform (to Angle Lake) at the stations for all destinations.<o:p></o:p></li></ul>

<li class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0in;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1">Beginning Sunday, September 3 through Sunday, September 17, the Southbound platform (to Angle Lake) will be closed at Othello and Rainier Beach stations. During this phase, all passengers
will use the Northbound platform (to Northgate) at the stations for all destinations.<o:p></o:p></li></ul>

<p class="MsoNormal">Passengers unfamiliar with these stations should note that the Othello station has side platforms, with trains running in between the two platforms, while the Rainier Beach station has a center platform in between the two sets of tracks.
