We request that people arrive no earlier than 4:00, as Colin and Destiny don’t have the space available to them until that time, except for the purpose of setting up. Access riders, please keep this in mind when arranging your rides. Even if you get there sometime after 4:00, you’ll have plenty of time to enjoy the picnic. We also should have everything cleaned up and leave no later than 8:00.

What to expect: good food, fun games and good friends (old and new)

Who’s invited: Chapter members, friends, family, newly blind people. Although there is some covered space all food should be able to sit safely outside. Please keep this in mind if you were thinking about foods containing eggs or mayonnaise products.

Finally, we need some volunteers to help with grilling throughout the picnic. Colin and Destiny will do some grilling, but as the hosts, they need help so that they can focus on actually hosting! Anyone interested, please call or email Colin.

Thanks to Jim Peterson and Noel Nightingale, we will also be having a keg at the picnic. For $5, you can get a cup and have access to the keg.

Finally, in order to make sure we have enough food, we need a good estimate of how many people will be in attendance. Of course, we will expect a few extra people, but it would be helpful to let Colin know that you are attending and if you are bringing someone. Colin would like to have this information by September 1st. If something comes up and you are unable to make it, no problem. At least we can have a good idea.

Email: s.colin.wong@gmail.com

Or call 480-886-4445.

We are so grateful to Colin and Destiny for hosting our picnic.
