The session will highlight the personalized trip planner for travelers with disabilities and provide insights into the user experience, including the use of screen readers.<br><br><b>3:30 PM - 4:45 PM: Ben Taskar Memorial Distinguished Lecture by Dragomir Anguelov</b> We are honored to present this year's Ben Taskar Memorial Distinguished Lecture featuring Dragomir Anguelov, Vice President and Head of Research at Waymo. Drago's extensive career includes leading the Research team at Waymo, where he focuses on pushing the state of the art in autonomous driving using machine learning.<br><br>Dragomir Anguelov's Bio: Drago Anguelov joined Waymo in 2018, leading the Research team with a focus on advancing autonomous driving through machine learning. His earlier contributions at Google include work on 3D vision and pose estimation for StreetView, and leading a team that developed computer vision systems for annotating Google Photos. Drago also played a key role in inventing popular methods such as the Inception neural network architecture and the SSD detector, contributing to winning the Imagenet 2014 Classification and Detection challenges. Before joining Waymo, Drago led the 3D Perception team at Zoox.<br><br>Talk Title: Toward Total Scene Understanding for Autonomous Driving In this engaging lecture, Drago Anguelov will delve into recent Waymo research on performant ML models and architectures that handle the variety and complexity of real-world environments in autonomous driving.
